10 Things to Know About Grief After Baby Loss | Episode 190 with Ashlee Proffitt

Episode 190

In this episode I am sharing with you what I want every grieving mom to know about grief after the loss of a baby. 10 things about grief that I pray will help you to feel seen where you, understood in the season of grief you are in and not alone in this journey.

If we were sitting down for coffee and I could share with you what I have learned in the nearly 15 years since losing my infant son about grief and navigating this journey of life after loss, these are the things I would tell you.

I pray they offer you hope today.

10 Things to know about grief.

  1. Grief is more than just feeling sad.

  2. Grief will come in waves.

  3. Grief affects every aspect of who you are: physically, mentally, spiritually and of course emotionally.

  4. Grief changes your capacity.

  5. Grief can be difficult to explain or communicate to others.

  6. Grief is different for everyone.

  7. Grief is heavy but you are not a burden.

  8. Grief can be really lonely.

  9. Grief does not have a time line or finish line.

  10. Grief changes.
