Day 02 : God is Ever Present

"Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? If I ascend to heaven, you are there! If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there! If I take the wings of the morning and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me. If I say, “Surely the darkness shall cover me, and the light about me be night,” even the darkness is not dark to you; the night is bright as the day, for darkness is as light with you." Psalm 139:7-12

"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you."Isaiah 43:2

What does this truth, that He is ever present, mean for me?

It means that He is always with me and He is always with you.

It means we are never alone.

It means that He doesn’t expect us to face the pain and the hurt and the brokenness on our own.

It means that “Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me.” Psalm 23

It means you never have to be afraid. Because the God who is All-Powerful, the God who is never overwhelmed, the God who has never faced a challenge too difficult for Him, the God who says “Nothing is too hard for me” is right there with you. He has never left your side. He is with you in the fire and in the flood and by His power He is guarding you and protecting you. You are safe because He is there.

You are never, ever, ever alone friend.

PRAYER

Father, thank you for never leaving us. For being a God who is more powerful than we can ever fathom and yet you choose to be near us, to never let us out of your sight.

Father, would you remind our hearts of your nearness today, of your mighty, all-powerful presence that is guarding and protecting us for eternity? Would you give us peace where there is fear as we remember that we have nothing to fear of because You are right here with us.
